It's worth the money. You can build games,animals,throwers and lot's more. You can find ideas on the web at mindstorms.lego.com or invent your own robot. The progamming on the computer is easy to use. If you have bluetooth on your computer or cellphone you can control your robot with a bluetooth connection!

quite a few previous reviews have complained about how expensive this product is. however, when looking closer at the price, you'll find that the price is completely reasonable. if you were to buy all the components separately (that means the intelligent brick, all the sensors, and the other pieces the hold the whole thing together) you'd spend a lot more money. but besides being priced fairly, the nxt 2.0 is easy to program and fun to use. id suggest it to anyone!

Wow. I've been using Lego Mindstorms since I was 8, and every set just keeps getting better. This one is no exception - it is by far the best Mindstorms set on the market! The color sensor is great, and is much better then the light sensors of the past sets. The updated Alpha Rex is much better then the old one, and I love adding custom images and sounds! The programming software is near perfect and runs faster then the old one, the models rule, and there are plenty of good parts! I recommend this set to anyone, whether new to Mindstorms or an old fan! Even if you have the first NXT kit, get this one - with 2, there are a ton of other projects you do!

This excellent product does all what is designed for except for its Bluetooth connection with a Mac. . If you are using a recent Mac computer based on the Intel processor, chances are your built Bluetooth system will not work. Using the usb connector works fine but has some limitations.
Until the software supplier comes up with a solution you will have to buy either the Lego dongle or another compatible usb dongle to use this means of communication or otherwise revert to another compatible computer. It is unfortunate that this product was not held until this major issue (for Mac users) been resolved.
The rechargeable power pack seems to be a good addition although expensive.
